At St. Andrew’s, we like to have fun. Gathering together
is part of our mission to each other. Here are some of the
activities we enjoy:
Coffee Time: Each week between worship and the Education hour,
we gather for treats and coffee to catch up with our church
family, meet new friends and hear about what is going on in
our community of faith.
Forks & Friends: Our informal dining club. Monthly, we
venture out to a local eating establishment, enjoy a meal and
to get to know each other better.
SASSA – Saints and Sinners of St. Andrew’s: SASSA
serves our mature members by providing an opportunity to gather
for an educational program and lunch in our Friendship Hall
each month.
Annual Church Retreat: Once a year we head to a retreat center
to renew and restore our faith. All members and friends as
well as their children are invited to attend. We use this time
away to focus on relationship with God, Jesus and the Spirit
and to explore what we can do to grow in our faith in the coming
year.
Spring Pot Luck: This “old fashioned” tradition
is one of our favorites! Everyone pitches in with food. We
eat, we laugh, we enjoy the company of others.
Strawberry Festival: In June, the strawberries are ripe and
we celebrate with lots of ice cream, entertainment and games.
The community is invited to join us for the first taste of
summer.
Summer Picnic: In July, we worship outside in one of the best
picnic areas in northeast Ohio. After worship, we grill a few
hot dogs and hamburgers, play games, hike around the woods
and sometimes put our toes into the local river.
Welcome Back Sunday: Just after Labor Day we gather back for
the school year and renew our routines. The beginning of Christian
education classes is celebrated with a weenie roast.
